From the Distilleerketel in Delfshaven you sail past the statue of Piet Hein towards the Van Nelle factory, the most important industrial monument in the Netherlands. This has also been recognized worldwide as such, when it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014.

On the way to the van Nellefabriek you will come across nice sights such as the Spangen district, which is famous worldwide among architects and urban planners. In the middle of Spangen is the oldest football stadium in the Netherlands, the Castle of Sparta from 1916.

The Penitentiary Institution (PI) Rotterdam is also worth seeing. The De Schie location was realized in 1989, after a design by Carel Weeber. The colorful character of the building is striking, both from the outside and the inside. De Schie is classified as 'Souled property'.
